New Directions: Finding and Maintaining Balance in Transition

First of all, if you are a fan of the show Glee (as I am), I regret to inform you that this blog is not about our favorite show choir (named New Directions in the show). I just didn’t want to get your hopes up.

It is, however, about transition. We all know that, in its most basic definition, “change” means to make something different. It comes in varying forms and in numerous degrees. But I find that it is the following definition by Merriam-Webster that really illustrates what it is about change that makes it difficult and anxiety-inducing.

Is Life Balance Useless? (10 steps towards your future)

Can you describe the feeling of balance? I like to follow different blogs and see how other people bring balance into their lives. However, sometimes I stumble upon the articles that describe balance as a still, immobile, fixed condition that keeps a person within certain limits and does not let them explore their potential to the fullest.

Does it mean that people do not need balance in life? It is a question that I’ve been asking myself a lot lately while trying to find new ways to look at life balance. Is life balance really useless? Does being in balance mean a boring life of no accomplishments?
