Dear Anastasiya,
I too feel that inner balance is key in the realization of self, and in the motion of life and where it takes you.
Interestingly these three pillars tie in with who I am generally, though latetly I must admit my moderation for the Internet hasn't been at all that wise and I know that because I feel drained by the end of it.
Good article, and it is wonderful to stop by! :)

I truly believe that anyone can benefit from patience. Even if we are not patient in the beginning, making a conscious decision to learn patience is already a big step forward.

Regarding moderation, I think that each of us has his/her definition of what moderation might mean. I also know a few people (including you, I guess :-)) who live happily the life of extremes. I think that when you choose the road of extremes you must be extremely careful too because you can get blown away from the original path. As long as you can keep your extremes under control and those extremes give you energy rather than drain you, you can definitely have a balanced and harmonious life.

Yoga is great! It is so much more than just a type of exercise. I practice Yoga as often as I can now, however I pay more attention to Pilates now. Like Yoga it gives amazing body awareness that helps to concentrate both body and mind.

The quote you have shared is precious! :-) I'll definitely keep it in mind.

The connections between our body and mind are amazing. Little things like how much you eat and what you eat can make the biggest difference when you are trying to come up with some creative ideas or embark on a new journey in life.

I am glad that you are discovering the values of moderation and that it helps you live a more mindful life.

I don't have patience and moderation but I do have awareness. At least that, I guess:) Patience is something I am learning now by consciously choosing to know that everything comes at the right time. It might not be the exact time I hoped it to come at, but it will definitely be the Right Time for me. Not sure with my nature I can learn the moderation, I need extremes from time to time and that's my definition of balance and happiness. I really liked the “Moderation is good in moderation” quote:)I do feel so calm and in harmony after each time I visit here Anastasiya. It is this special energy that comes from you and it feels great!

Hi Anastasiya,

These are great insights for balance. I find that when I do yoga it helps me in all these areas.

Regarding moderation, I loved a comment I heard a young lady make the last time I was at Esalen (a GREAT place in Big Sur that has a remarkable history). Someone asked her: "Are you a vegetarian"? She replied: "I'm a flexitarian". I really smiled when I heard that and have reflected upon it often.

Thanks for another great post on balance!

Hello
I'm learning about moderation at this stage in my development. I have found that there is a direct correlation between the food I eat in moderation and my overall mindfullness and awareness during the day. Indeed it is all connected.
