Hi Prince,
and thank you for your comment.
Spirituality and religious beliefs are the topic that make a lot of people uncomfortable (unfortunately :-( that is why I didn't go too deep into explaining this priority in my list.
Everything that we have in this world can disappear and we won't be able to do anything about it. You can lose your job, you can lose money, you can lose friends and you can even lose you family but you cannot lose your faith if you are serious about it. If you have faith in God and if you follow His commandments then He will take care of you and your family. This is the reason why I put spirituality (religion if we are open) higher than anything else.

Anastasiya, I followed your suggestion and listed the 6 priorities in my own order. I think that the actual order depends a lot on your stage of life. For example, I put health first because I have a chronic health condition. If I don't continue to give high priority to my health, it would affect my ability to focus on other priorities.

Actually, I think I interpret the words "interests," "money," and "career" differently from you and, therefore, ranked them quite differently. Your purpose, though, was to encourage us to think about our life priorities, and you did that very well.

Great article. I am coincidentally writing a two-part series on my blog now about balanced living too. Thanks for sharing some of your wisdom. I look forward to reading more in the future.

Hi Anastasyia, great point about setting priorities and choosing the most important ones over money. So many people put that first, or too high up on the list, sometimes not intentionally, thinking that more money will allow them more of what they truly desire in their hearts. I think writing them down really helps, and ordering them as part of that.

Thanks for sharing this!
Cheers,
Miche :)

I am so glad that you have emphasized the point of sharing your priorities with your partner. It is so important for two people to have similar values in life.

Reading this, I realize that it would be helpful if I took a few minutes to write down my priorities. I have them bouncing around in my head, but by writing them down, and writing a short sentence about each, I would be able to more easily see the big picture. It would also allow me to share them more easily with my wife. We need to make sure we are on the same page with our priorities. I think we sometimes get out of alignment, and sitting down together to go over this will prove very beneficial.

I loved this post. I actually have just posted a very similar one on my blog. This is what I am focusing alot now - setting my priorities and figuring out what's important and what I have to let go. It does take lots of courage sometimes but so worth it!

Hi Anastasiya,
Read this post, and I find it quiet interesting. I have a question though - why would you, in your priorities, rank spirituality higher than family? Just wondering.
