Feeling good …
Admit it. It’s what you want – to feel good in your own body.
It’s the reason you wake up at 5 am to do your morning exercises. It’s the reason you give up on tasty but unhealthy food. It’s the reason you sweat long hours in the gym.
It takes quite an effort to maintain your body in good health. It pays off later by bringing balance in your life.
However, sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of why you are doing this all for and you need to remind your self the reasons.
So here are the top 10 reasons why you need and want to stay healthy.
1. Live longer and enjoy life
Let’s face it.
What’s the point of living 100 years if at that age you are not able to enjoy the fruits of your labor?
The habits you have today will determine how you will celebrate your 100 birthday. Will you be enjoying the meal with your friends and family, laughing at inevitable jokes about age and life or you’ll spend the celebration dozing in a wheelchair?
2. You can enjoy healthy relationships
Healthy relationships are based on the act of giving.
Contribute to your relationship by helping your partner, being there when she needs it, and express your love by showing your affection through little kisses, hugs and back-rubs. This makes the relationship stronger.
When you are emotionally and physically healthy you are more likely to do all the above. You can contribute to someone’s life and make it easier and happier. Isn’t that wonderful?
3. Diminish pain in your life
An unhealthy body brings pain in your life.
The cost to your dear body is pretty high when you live in aches and pains. You’ll miss on many life experiences.
You’ll not be able to enjoy that beautiful sun rise in the morning or the calming sun set in the evening, because that severe pain in the back or headache won’t let you enjoy what life has to offer.
I bet you don’t want to live in pain. Right?

A healthy body assumes having a strong immune system.
Your immune system is the body’s defense that guards it against invaders and infections like cold and flu.
But infections are as inevitable as death and taxes and the immune system fails sometime.
Making lifestyle changes like giving up smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, getting adequate sleep and exercising regularly, makes your immune system stronger.

These are days when you feel exhausted. When it doesn’t matter that outside is a beautiful day for barbeque or how enticing that movie is you are invited to watch. You just don’t feel like getting up and do anything of that.
Your energy reservoir is empty and you hardly find the will for the things you used to love.
In a healthy body the energy flows freely. Even if you had a difficult day and you are tired, you’ll still be willing to join the fun.

When an opportunity knocks at your door you have to be ready to take action. You don’t want to be sorry, because you felt bad that day.

You discover yourself living a pain free life. You are free to do what you are passionate about.
Giving freedom to the inner child, you’ll reveal more about you than you ever expected.

If you take care of your body, you’ll never need to resort to quick fixes that are unhealthy, costly and often dangerous, in order to make you feel better. Staying healthy is the best form of prevention in the process of aging.

When you start your day in good mood without being disturbed by health problems, you can easily create plans for the day or the entire week. You can arrange meetings and speak to people with confidence. Feeling good in your body adds a large dose of confidence in you.
The way you feel yourself translates into the way you present yourself as well as how you are perceived by others.
10. Look Better
Correctly matched clothes can hide any imperfection of your body. But when you wear casual clothes and still manage to look good, that’s much better.
In addition, leading a healthy lifestyle can also improve the appearance of your skin, teeth and nails and give you that certain glow that makes you look great!
