I personally like exploring different types of activities myself. I think that this is a fun way to bring something new into my exercise routine. With group classes it is very important to find an instructor who you will feel comfortable with. I remember a friend of mine once tried Yoga. On the very first day the instructor made her do really difficult poses (she was in good physical shape so it saved her). But the worst part was when at the end of the class the instructor came up to her and sat on her back to make her stretch a little bit more. No wonder she was scared to try Yoga after that :-)

Exercising without desire and enjoyment is doomed in my opinion. This is the exact reason why I have decided to write this post. I know that a lot of beginners expect to like fitness from the very first time and if they do not like something then they give up forever that is why I think that it's important to realize what type of exercise you might like before starting anything.

That's a great tip Karlil for everybody who needs motivation. I've never thought about using a desktop wallpaper as a motivation to exercise. Thanks for sharing!

These are very great points... A great way to find out some exercises which you like is to really explore. When I first started yoga, I took me going to about 15 different classes to find out which type of yoga and which class I enjoyed the most. Sometimes you just need to try out a few to find out what you really enjoy.

Anastasiya, some great tips from turning exercise from a dreaded thing into something fun and looking forward to. I guess, that unless you learn to enjoy doing exercise using willpower will fail you 99.99% of the time. Do it the easy way. Enjoy it.

#9 hit the spot for me. Most of the time I need motivation to keep my exercise routine in check. I used to join the gym for this very purpose. But after some time I got lazy driving my way to the gym. So I end up quitting. Recently I've been doing exercise in my own room. I get my motivation from the desktop wallpaper. It does the trick for me :)
