Healthy eating is definitely a part of a balanced lifestyle. What you eat is the fuel that you give to your body and you hope that this fuel will give you enough energy to finish all your tasks, to [...]
The Cornerstone of Work/Life Balance and How to Change Your Priorities (plus last post with comments)
Do you sometimes feel that you are stuck in a rut? You clean up your lifestyle, your clean your to-do list, you take time for yourself (or at least you think so) and still you feel stuck. Your time is running away from you and no matter how much you try you still cannot get everything done.
I’ve been in that situation lately. It was really strange for me because I could not figure out what was wrong and how I could improve my situation. My work/life balance (even though I do not like this term) was definitely tipping into the “work” area and hardly ever touching the “life.” I had a lot of projects that I had just recently started and my girls have officially entered the terrible twos. Every day was a fight and I didn’t know where to get the energy and strength for it.
How to Become an Early Riser
We all want to get more things done during the day but very few of us actually manage to do that. I find myself running like a hamster in a wheel sometimes trying to finish all my projects but by the end of the day I still have a bunch of stuff left and I have no energy to do anything else. Have you felt the same before?
We often say “I wish there were 48 hours in the day!” But no matter how much we want that we still cannot control the time. At the same time we can control our schedule, we can control when we go to bed and when we wake up.
Is Your Lifestyle Killing You? (plus an Offer You Do not Want to Miss)
How healthy and fit are you? Really, on a scale from 0 to 10 (0 being a complete couch potato and 10 being a Navy seal) where are you?
A few weeks ago my husband participated in a fun event called the Marine Corps Mud Run. When he signed up for it he didn’t know what he was getting into. I must say that my hubby is in pretty good shape – he runs and lifts weights most days of the week. When he started the race he thought that his fitness level was around 7, when he was finished he felt like a “3.” Why am I telling you this? First of all I want to take part in a Mud Run next year (the idea of running, getting over obstacles while covered in mud for a good cause has some masochistic appeal to me), but also it means that I have to work hard to get my fitness level up.
What Is Your Occupation?
